Thank you Auntie Rachel

Adon got these awesome spider man shoes from Auntie Rachel that were once TJ's. He is now finally able to fit into them and they are a big hit. He loves it that they light up and tells every one who is on his shoes. "Who is on your shoes, Adon?" "Spider" "Spider who?" "Spiderman!" He loves it!

Spoiled? Me?

Last night our power went out until about 2:30 in the morning. (Note: make sure all the lights are in the off position before going to bed or you will get a wake up call.) The boys had fun eating dinner by candle light and we went to bed early. We listened to the rain and watched the lightning. This morning Aaron got up with the boys and when I finally rolled out of bed I was swiftly ordered back. Aaron was making me breakfast in bed and the bacon wasn't quite done. Hey thats the reason I got up...MMmmmm BAAACCCCOOONNNN! Aaron had made pancakes, bacon, and hot chocolate for me, and brought it on a cookie sheet. Every one say it with me... Awwww. Maybe this had something to do with me almost killing myself and falling into a window well. Or maybe he just had fun when the power was out too.

The Fruits of Our Labors

To make a long story short... a few of our nice candles were melted to obliteration. I remelted them and remade a few (safer) candles. They smell too good to just throw away.
Mom and I have been busy this week. At home I did corn (12 bags), salsa (12 pints), and plum/grape jelly (24 bottles). I've helped mom with peaches and she got half ( 9 quarts). Her tomatoes decided they wanted to ripen this week so we made 6 quarts of tomatoe juice. Today we did 13 quarts of yummy pears.

Later this week, more corn on the way from Vernal. More jelly (gotta use up that puree), more tomatoes (mom's bushes are unstoppable), and more peaches if we are lucky. Later this month or maybe next PUMPKIN! I'm glad I decided to wait till next year to do pickles and garlic. LOL!

Collin in Grandpa Collett's Chair

My mother has this little wooden chair in her home that her father made in his shop. The back has the silhouette of the head of a bear.
Great Grandpa Collett passed away five years ago this Christmas Eve.

Collin's Little Personality

When we were in Mexico I made Collin wear this hat every where so he wouldn't get burned. When Adon wakes up he usually comes to our room and asks for breakfast and a movie. When Collin comes to our room he signs for his hat. His silly orange hat. When you give him his hat, he will then want his kitty. When he gets his kitty he waltzes around the house like this. This has become our morning ritual and it is so cute. His little creative personality has come out. He loves his hat, he loves his kitty.

Fifths Disease

Fifths Disease is caused by a virus. Adults and kids can get it. Kids can carry the virus for many days before a bright red rash forms on their cheeks. Once the rash appears then they are not contagious. No other symptoms are associated with this virus excep the occasional runny nose and sore throat.

Once the rash appears it can come and go for 10-14 days. Hot baths and sun shine irritate the usually non itchy rash.

If adults get Fifths diseas it can be accompanied by swelling, especially in the knees and last for up to 3 months. Once you have this virus you produce antibodies for it. Women in the first trimester of pregnancy should notify their obstitrician if they come in contact with the virus.
