Ice Skating

Ever since our last hockey game, Adon has wanted to go skating. We missed it for Holly Days so we went the next day. It took a little while to start having fun but we got there. Here we all are with smiles on our faces.
Collin started off with double bladed ice skates but they wouldn't stay on his cowboy boots. So we finally just let him run on the ice with cowboy boots. Not recommended for any other situation. He had a blast though.
Here is Adon taking a break. Ice skating is hard work. He started off with single blade skates. Then we put on Collin's double bladed skates and he finally took off and we couldn't keep up with him.
The Ice Rink had these plastic "walkers" to help beginners skate. I propped Collin on one and took off as fast as I could go. He loved it and didn't want to get off.

Holly Days In Vernal

Adon and Collin riding the "Polar Express Train" at Holly Days.
Adon and Collin riding the pony rides; with Daddy's help.

Adon, Collin, and our friend Emily hacking away at ice for small toys. Who was it that gave them an ice pic?
Daddy helping Collin ride the fun vintage cars. Collin mostly just wanted to ring the bell. Holly Days is an annual thing in Vernal the day after Thanks Giving. There are all day activities that are free to the public. We were able to do a few things and enjoy the parade of lights once it got dark. Burr..... cold.

Angel #2

What do you get when you put all this stuff together?
An angel. A tree topper angel at that. So I got her done right at the nick of time. There are more flaws but some are good. Merry Christmas Adam and Amber.

Fun Pictures of Collin

Collin and Ryan "horsing" around.
Later that night; Grandma and Collin taking a snooze.

Boy In a Box

Collin was playing with this box so cute.
The pictures don't do it justice. He kind of looks like a deer in the headlights.

Aggie Hockey

So we took the boys to an Aggie Hockey game with some friends. This was Collin's first Hockey game.
Ate treats, danced in the isles, cheered for the home team. Yes, the Aggies smeared Weber. Then....
... it was just too much fun and we went home. Adon now wants to learn how to ice skate.

Cowboy Up

Just some cute pictures of my boys playing around.

Collin's Surgery

Collin was born with a herniated belly button. The pediatrician said that if it didn't close up on its own Collin would need to get it surgically fixed. Last Wednesday Collin had surgery. This picture isn't the greatest because he is talking while I was taking his picture. His surgery was 6:30 am. We were home at 10am. He was his fun loving self by the evening and even better by the morning. It couldn't have gone better. We have been very blessed.

Oh So Yummy

Place a Rolo on a pretzel then a nut. These are pecans. Then melt either in the oven on low heat or microwave on wax paper.

Then stick in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes to turn solid again. Oh, so yummy.

Wand Making

The boys wanted to make wands. I guess listening to Harry Potter and other cartoons that involve magic, who wouldn't? All you need is a few wooden dowels, glitter paint, and a box. Paint the dowels as you wish and let them dry standing up in the box.

Abra-ca-doodle

Teach Them While They're Young

My boys love to help. They want to help. Yet, being young there are a few things they can't do. I believe its important to teach them while they are young. Sometimes you need to get creative.

Let them dust what they can reach. Some things may need to be redone but be encouraging. Don't forget to be patient. I'm giving this advice to myself because sometimes its hard. Yes, having little ones do house work may make the task take longer than if you did it yourself. But keep at it.

Adon used to clean the door knobs. But now its Collin's job. Adon has graduated to washing the light switches now that he can reach them.

Pet Projects

The pictures are a little out of order but here is a little project Aaron and I have been working on while the weather has been bad. Here is a little dresser the dark stain is the after photo.

Before. Sanded, stained, and new hardware.

Then we sanded and stained the mirror to match.

Trick-or-Treat Round 2

The boys and I went to visit G+G Egbert in the rehab center for trick-or-treating. Grandma had surgery and is recovering there. Grandpa is there to keep Grandma company. The boys loved showing off their costumes and getting loaded on sugar.

Then we went to Nana's house and treated a few of the houses in her neighborhood.

Adon @ Chloe's house. Happy Halloween.

Ryan's Birthday! Roll Tide!

Happy Birthday to my bro. Here are the boys, helping Uncle Ryan blow out his candles.
Auntie Heather and Collin counting candles.

The Cake!

Nana and Adon shoved the "mini" cupcakes in whole. What fun. Party Party Party

Baby Shower Gift

So my awesome Visiting Teacher companion is about to have her first baby. She invited me to her shower and this is the present I made for her. Rolled up onesies and pajamas in the middle of fake flowers. She loved it. Its so easy to make. Just Google it.
