Happy Birthday Kelsey

Happy Birthday to Kelsey. She is now 20! Mom and Dad survived five teenagers! That's saying something. Here is how Kelsey's birthday cake turned out. I have to say that the flowers make it. They are fresh (not sugar). I love putting fresh flowers on cakes. It always turns out awesome. Aaron and I have learned a lot when it comes to making cakes and we have even found a fondant recipe that we love (it even tastes good).
Birthday girl, cake, and boyfriend just after blowing out the candles. She loved the cake and I was very glad she did. Happy Birthday Bub!

Too pretty to eat? NEVER! Aaron and I can make a really tasty cake! I was very proud of how it turned out. Every one seemed to love the new fondant compared to the store bought stuff I have used in the past. I love learning and cake making definitely has its "tricks of the trade" for sure. Just like everything, practicing helps. So spread the word! Carly and Aaron can make you a cake!

Out-Standing In Their Field

Here is Adon and Aaron standing by a very small part of our garden. Aaron is the real gardener in the family and he is very helpful (especially when I just want to jump right in and may not think everything through) Adon and Collin love the garden. Adon loves to look for worms and pick weeds (as long as they aren't too big) Collin loves to throw dirt clots at everything and every one. I'm still trying to teach them where the baby plants are so they won't step on them. Its easy with the onions because they are starts and have a small green shoot all ready up out of the ground. We have planted onions and potatoes. Soon we will plant, tomatoes, cucumbers, dill weed, a variety of peppers, and spinach. We will also plant a strip of flowers to help create a path between the yard and the garden.

Crafty Mommy

My little Adon is growing like a weed and was in need of summer shirts. So I made him some summer shirts using decals and strips of fabric from old shirts. He really likes orange but I think his favorite is the green one. He had fun picking out the colors for his new shirts.

They Just Keep Growning

Adon is three years old. He is officially potty trained. He has only had two night time accidents since he has gone totally diaper free. His favorite song is the theme song to Indiana Jones (by John Williams). He loves to tease his little brother endlessly. He loves his sunbeams class and today he bore his testimony in church (with help from mom).
Collin will be two in a few days. He loves balls and balloons. The only way he was happy for these pictures was to hold this little ball. He loves slides and goes up and down the cork skrew slide by himself over and over. He is slowly adding more and more words to his vocabulary.

As they are growing they are playing with each other more and more. They laugh, and tickle, and wrestle. We are so excited for spring/summer and all the fun that comes with it.

Welcome to the Wilson Luau

Here is the Wild Wilsons. Instead of Easter Baskets we threw a Luau. Yes we have a palm tree in the middle of our living room. Yes, Adon is wearing a coconut bra but only because he wanted to. He actually cried when I made him take it off.
No luau is complete without hawaiian hay stacks and grass skirts. We even watched some video of Hawaiian dancers. We listened to island music inbetween conference sessions.

Our festive decorations.

Aaron even made pina coladas with fresh pineapple and coconut. They were yummy!

Adon with his own pina colada. For some reason the little umbrella was cooler than the drink.

"Easter" Egg Hunt

Adon getting ready for the Amalga Town Easter Egg Hunt. These pictures aren't great but it only lasted a few minutes and most of it I got on video. My video wont upload so you will have to watch it later. I didn't really do baskets for the boys this year (see what we did do instead in future post).
Adon and Collin waiting to go into the YW room to gather eggs.

Adon and Dad breaking open the eggs to get the treats inside. This was a cool new concept for Collin and he wanted candy as fast as I could open those eggs.

Awww!

I caught this picture and I have to admit that Adon is faking but Aaron is really asleep. It still is pretty cute. Such good buddies.

Ah Utah Spring!

Its a good thing I got to ride it once before it snowed. What a bummer!
It had been so nice the past couple of days and then we wake up to this STUFF! March definitely didn't go out like a lamb unless you are referring to this FLUFF

"Collin's" Birthday Presant

Here is Collin's birthday presant. It came in the mail and Adon helped me put it together. Collin was napping at the time and I was too excited.
30 minutes later its all together and hooked up.

After Collin woke up from his nap I couldn't wait to try it out. I'm glad I had my dad's tire pump in my car from fixing my bike earlier. The boys had so much fun. It wasn't very warm but I couldn't pass up this opportunity. We are going to take a LOT of bike rides this summer. It even has netting to block out the misquitoes!!!
