Epic Relay Logan To Jackson

I know you all just want to see a picture of me running, so here it is. Me on my final leg. 205 miles to Jackson from Logan! Yea, we are a little crazy. Our team number was 18.

Danni and Paris. Mother/Daughter members of our team and both in Vehicle one. This is actually a picture of day two and still smiling. Danni is my sweet awesome friend who asked me to be on their team in the first place.

Jake, Danni (husband and wife), and Jeannie. Members of vehicle 1. Day one waiting to use the "Honey Bucket" aka porta-potties.

Jessie (vehicle 1) and Joseph (vehicle 2) brother and sister at the starting line. Joseph was the youngest in our group.

Just so you all know, we made it to Jackson. Yes, we ran the whole way. You will have to zoom in to see the picture. Aaron and I are on the far left. I was a never-2-b-4-gotten experience.

Aaron's Fountain

Aaron really likes yard fountains. The week we were in Vernal he got the opportunity to finally make one with his father's rock collection, a pump, and a broken fountain. Here he is with the finished project. He worked hard and was so proud. The kids even helped him pick up and move rocks. The water comes out of the lady sitting on the top rock and trickles down the granite then circulates back up.

What's So Exciting?

The kids were all so quiet which is a rare occurrence with such a house full. I peered over the half wall to see what had captured their attention. They were all crowded around the tiny screen of one DS.

Adon fell asleep watching TJ play his DS.

We were getting the kids ready to go outside and play and we couldn't find Collin. We called for him and he answered back but we still couldn't find him. This is where he was. He was trying to get some alone time with a recently obtained DS, behind Grandma's couch. He thought he was so sneaky.

Bar-B-Q pizza and Buddies

While in Vernal we were able to get together with some of Aaron's High School buddies and their families. Left to Right (just in case you don't recognize them) Aaron, Devin Caldwell, TyZack Jenson, and Richard Wallis. Aaron is holding Richard's little girl, Natalie. The kids got to play and it was so nice to visit while we chomped down some awesome BBQ pizzas.

I love to see the temple

We decided to go and visit the temple Sunday afternoon. A good looking bunch. We walked around and talked to the kids about the temple. Adon was excited to see the temple Mommy and Daddy were married and sealed in. He has a lot of questions. "Mom, can boys get married in the temple?" "Yes" "What about girls?" He makes me laugh.

Camping on the Mountain

We finally made it to Vernal to see our Alaska cousins and they were with G&G Wilson on the mountain camping. Once we got there, Collin was Grandpa's little shadow, especially since Grandpa had a fishing pole! (Collin's new favorite thing)

Plum tuckered out.

Adam and Grandpa brought their four-wheelers and the kids (old and young) had a blast! Here is Drake posing for me.

Grandpa and Aaron in the shade. Adam and Grandma was there too. Even Auntie Amber who isn't very fond of camping came up for dinner.

Left to right: Drake, Adon, Faith, TJ, Kami, Gracie, and Collin. Skyler and Josh were there as well. What a bunch!

Adon with his pretty cousin Faith. They are 10 weeks apart by age. Faith gets to start school this year and Adon is kinda bummed because he has to wait.

Auntie Rachel who is about to "pop" according to Adon. She is having another girl. Due at the end of August. Getting some exploring in! P.S. For those of you who don't all ready know, Aaron and I have stepped over to the dark side and we now are the proud owners of a mini van. See it in the back of the picture by the tree. Aaron calls it the Mormon Assault Vehicle. Its a 2008 Toyota. We have really enjoyed it.

Adon's "headboard"

Nine canvas painting boards. (They were on sale a long long time ago)

Cover in super cute fabric that I have had for over a year.
Mount on wall "strategically", add monkey.

....or monkeys.

Before picture accidentally placed at the end.

Visiting Grandparents in Preston

I so don't understand why these pictures are out of order but..... we went to Grandma and Grandpa Egbert's house for a visit. We shot off fire crackers that Collin earned from going potty (candy just didn't cut it for this kid) Then the boys had a blast playing with Lincon-logs.

So much fun. Thanks G&G for having us over!

Osprey Helicopter in Logan

Those three tiny people in front of that huge Osprey helicopter are my boys. An Osprey Helicopter and its team came to the Logan airport for some "lifting" tests. This thing was huge. We did get to see it off the ground once but mostly we just saw them cleaning it. The boys thought it was awesome to see such a BIG helicopter.

Angel Moroni

Nana, Adon, Collin, and Mommy went to Brigham City to see the Angel Moroni being placed on top of the new temple. Apparently so did the rest of the valley.

The boys were being so good and playing.

The before picture with the flag. We experienced a little trauma during our visit. There is a three feet wide and three feet deep canal running between the tabernacle and the temple. The canal was full of water and it was moving pretty fast. I commented to Nana that I was surprised there were so many kids playing by the fast water and hardly any parents. At that moment, Collin was bumped or fell in the canal. I was a foot away but it was so fast that he was completely submerged before I could grab his shirt and pull him out. Some kind lady brought me back his shoe that had floated swiftly away. My first reaction was to strip him down and put my shirt on him but realized we were in public. So I striped him down to his undies and carried him the 1/2 mile back up to the car. He was a little traumatized but okay. We then went to a local cemetery and had our picnic and watched the angel be placed on the temple. Adon later, on his own, drew a picture of how he felt when Collin fell in the water. He said he was "surprised and scared".

Just the Guys

Just a bunch of guys, hogging the couch....relaxin'?
