Beautiful Smithfield Canyon

I love this picture. He is such a big boy.
Adon and Collin posing next to the fast water that was next to our fire ring. Nana came with us and was being very nice to help us with the boys but I wasn't able to snag a picture of her.

Ryan and Heather and Bama. Lets Eat!

Proof I was there. Its so much fun to go up the canyon for a weeny roast.

Those crazy Wilsons. This was before the boys got really dirty.

Happy Father's Day

For Father's Day we got together for homemade hamburgers and fries. We had it on the back deck (thanks to our landlords) since the day was so beautiful.
Here is everyone stuffed to the max. There was so much food. Afterward we played a short game of bacchi which every one can play.

We all pitched in to get Dad this camera. Thanks every one. He really likes it and hopes to take it on many a fishing trips. Its waterproof and lots of other cool things so I hope it will last a little longer than his old camera. I guess I just need to teach him to blog now so he can share all his photos with us. I kind of am hoping this makes up for all the fishing shirts, bad neck ties, and other poorly though out gifts that "I" have given him in the past. Happy Fathers Day to all you out there. Yes, Ryan, even the Uncles.

My little garden...

Here is a picture of my garden. Its in the same place it was last year but I'm totally in charge of it now. Our neighbor that usually helps me, moved. From left to right we have onions, multiple kinds of peppers, tomatoes, more onions and baby spinach, then dill and cucumbers, two mystery squash plants that came up from tilling last year's seeds into the ground, peas and a few carrots, then potatoes. In the box are more lettuce, spinach, potatoes and a monster strawberry plant (bush). I'm so proud. We have all ready be able to enjoy spinach and lettuce.
Here is the first strawberry from our strawberry plant. We split it three ways with Mom, Dad, and Nana. It was pure heaven.

Here is our monster strawberry plant. Its not ever bearing. This started out as one plant but they get those runners that branch out and help the plant find water and spread. Aaron likes the strawberries so much he wants to get more.

Our first real crop. Better than rubies.

These peonies were given as a gift and this year they finally bloomed. They are huge and gorgeous. I don't have a green thumb but I could get used to this growing stuff.

Hot summer days!

Adon and Collin's first sprinkler under the tramp experience.
Daddy has to show them how it is done.
Is this really supposed to be fun???

Collin prefers to hide behind dad.

The summer Hottie!!!

Adon loves this new way of jumping on the tramp!!!

Camping Near Massey's Cave

We took the boys up the Dry Fork Canyon to Massey's Cave and set up camp not far from it. Adon and Collin did very well camping in their tent and sleeping bags. Collin has a love hate relationship with the four wheeler. He likes to be on it when its not going but cries when someone drives by. He really enjoyed going down the road with Mom. Here he is with Dad getting ready to go again.
Nothing better than lounging with Grandpa near a warm fire. Collin didn't feel very good that night but he slept good.

Here we all are roasting marshmallows. Collin and I are in the back peeking out. Collin was probably asleep in his blanket at this time. We had so much fun. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Wilson.

Happy Birthday Aaron...

If one possibly can... we had too much fun on Aaron's birthday. SO much that we came home and we all crashed. So Aaron didn't get to blow out his candels on his famous pineapple upside-down cake until the next day. Happy Birthday Sweetie!

Harper's Corner...

On June 2 (Aaron's birthday) we hiked to Harper's Corner with Grandpa Daryl, Grandma Lela, Justin, Morian, Boen, Chandler, Gabe, Aaron, Me, Collin, and Adon. The boys did a great job. Its a mile hike there and a mile back.
Here is Adon taking a break wearing his trucker hat to keep the sun off his ears.

Proof that I was there. I have a flower in each of my ears that Adon picked for me.

Here is our group in front of the Yampa river side of Harpers corner. What scenery!

Collin in front of the Green River overlook side of Harper's Corner.

Helping Gradpa in the Garden...

A little work does the body good. Here is Grandpa, Adon, Boen and Josh helping Grandpa plant seeds in the garden.
With Gabe and Chandler coming to help, the work was quickly finished and on to pulling weeds.

Adon loves to help Grandpa. He is Grandpa's little shadow in the garden.

Meanwhile, Aaron is preatending to enjoy one of his favorite Louis but on closer inspection he had us all fooled.

Memorial Day

Grandma Lela, Collin, and I went to the Vernal Cemetary Memorial Day evening to visit the graves of our Grandparents. Here is Collin kind of going free through the flowers.
Here is Collin by Grandma and Grandpa Collett. We also visited the graves of Great Grandpa James Clark, who Collin is named after and Aunt Sharon's. We also visited Uncle Brent's little brother's (T.J). We also visited Grandma and Grandpa Wilson's grave. It was nice and a beautiful evening to be at the cemetary.

Fun and Games at Altonah...

I gave Aaron a bachi game for his birthday and all the cousins played it at Altonah. Its a game even the little ones can enjoy.
Adon got a chance to go on the teeter totter. Dad was on the other end since there isn't any one quite his size.

Adon got a chance to hit the pinata. Grandpa Daryl helps all the kids take turns to get the candy out.

Even Collin had an opportunity to come face to face with the pinata. The bat was wooden and too big for him to really swing so he just hit it with his hands. It was cute.

Dinner With Dad

Today I asked Adon what he wanted for dinner and he said "Pizza with Dad" I thought it was a great idea. So i ordered pizza and we took it to Aaron's work. We enjoyed dinnere together like we sometimes do and then it was time for Aaron to go back to work. He gave everyone kisses and then walked back into the building. As we pulled out of the parking lot, Adon asked "Where is Dad going?" Me: "He's going back to work" Adon: "We are at work" Me: "He is going in the building, he will be home soon." Adon: "I miss my Daddy, because he's my best friend." Me: "He's your best friend?" Adon: "Yeah, he's my best friend" I thought it was very cute and I had never heard him say anything about a best friend. I think its awesome that he loves his Daddy so. I had to blog it.

Visiting the Frog Pond at Altonah

Grandpa Wilson takes a crowd of cousins to the frog pond at Altonah.
The grass was tall and Collin needed help going through the grass. The frog pond is really a watering hole for cows but there are many little critters and frogs to catch.

Adon has his little cup to catch bugs and other critters at the frog pond.

Dad and Grandpa helped every one catch something. We were able to hear and see some of the small frogs.

Collin loves being with the group. The cows have left holes that were easy to fall into for little boys. Mom almost got pushed into the frog pond by Adon.

Going for a Ride on Thomas the Train

Adon giving a ticket to the conductor in order to ride Thomas the Train Engin.
Adon proudly holds up his ticket to ride. We stopped in Heber on the way to Vernal to get to ride one of Adon's and Collin's favorite trains.

The Conductor stopped by to give the boys each a certificate that had the date on it and said that they rode the train. He was kind enough to let us take a picture together. The boys really loved the train ride, short as it was.

Collin and Dad in front of Thomas the train. The famous Heber Creeper was decked out in the famous train. There were so many people and children there very excited to ride Thomas.

Adon and Dad in front of Thomas. Such a fun side trip.... onward to Vernal.
