Time Out Pictures

Time out is no laughing matter but sometimes mom can't help but snap a picture or two while stifling giggles. Sometimes the boys are both on time out. They were both upset because the whole world was against them and I couldn't help myself.

With Adon, time out is measured with a timer that says when he can come off the chair. With Collin, he decides when his attitude is ready to join the family activities. Sometimes he will sit and pout for a while. Today, he threw a fit and was put on time out. A minute later he was found this way. As sad as this little picture looks....he's asleep.

Even though this is not a time out picture, I thought it was appropriate to add. The odd part about this picture is that this is breakfast. And yes, he has fallen asleep in the "pout" position. Apparently he wasn't ready to get up that morning.

St. Patrick's Day Milestone

Happy St. Patrick's Day every one. You all have heard of the Blarney Stone but I'm not writing about that. Today I reached a milestone in my running. Today I ran 5 miles. Once I made it home I was expecting some confetti or trumpets but then I figured that I was asking for too much. I'm still training for my 1/2 marathon and I have never in my life ran 5 miles. I was aiming for going 4 miles but since I have been sick with a head cold, I thought that my regular 3 was going to push it. It has been over two years since I last ran 4 miles so I'm pretty proud of making it 5. Today is a semi cloudy, breezy 35 degrees. I'm thankful for my gear that I broke down and bought so I could run on sunny but cold days. I hope every one remembered to wear green today, and celebrate by eating some sort of green food. Sending you our love from the Wilson.

Collin Spotlight

My Collin is growing up so much. I often catch myself just watching him. He is so animated and is trying so hard to talk. This morning he wanted an orange for breakfast. He insisted on peeling it himself. I have seen him do many strange things with an orange but never peel it. He did a great job. Then he separated the orange into pieces and ate it. Such a big boy. He was so proud of himself.

This morning was kind of backwards. Adon got himself dressed and we had been talking about walkie-talkies. So I dug out a set from an old box for the boys to play with. They needed batteries but it was like Christmas. Adon wanted his hooked to his pants. Collin wanted his to hook on too but he had yet to get dressed. So I hooked the walkie-talkie on his diaper. He liked it and he ran to his dad to show him.

The boys are ready to go outside and play. We went for a walk behind our house and jumped in a lot of puddles. The boys were tired afterward, and Collin fell asleep on the couch.

Last Day of Tumbling Class

I took a ton of pictures during our last tumbling class and they are all gone. I'm a little concerned about my camera. But I'm glad this one was still on the card. Adon's teacher, Bob, was really good with the 8 little kids in Adon's class. Today, was parent day where the kids could show off what they had learned. On top of learning how to listen to directions, take turns, and follow instructions; the kids learned crab walks, seal crawls, partner log rolls, somersaults, stretching, and some awesome yoga poses. As a little treat, Bob show the kids how they could go from the bridge to a hand stand. Hence the picture. Adon had fun, Collin was jealous he couldn't be on the mat with the "big" kids.

When the Cats Away, the Mice Will Play!

I did have a picture of this mess but somehow it has disappeared. The Wilson family has been a little under the weather, even Mom. Yet, moms don't get sick days. Collin was down for a nap which doesn't happen very often these days and Adon was watching a movie; so I went to go lay down. After his naps, Collin usually comes to find me and cuddle. That is usually my wake up call. But today he just went and sat with Adon to finish the movie. Seeing them sitting so peacefully (another thing that doesn't happen often); I figured that I could rest for a few more minutes. Boy was I wrong. I'm not sure how long I was asleep but the movie was over and Collin had gotten himself and apple out of the fridge and had eaten most of it. (I mention this part because it takes Collin FOREVER to eat an whole/unsliced apple) Adon had gotten onto the computer and was playing games which made my subconscious think that they were still watching their movie. When I came out of our bedroom, I got hit by a brick. Or at least a few eggs. Collin had gotten out the last of our eggs (9 to be exact) and had broken them on our kitchen floor. They (I include Adon here because there were wrappers and crumbs by the computer) had climbed the counters and got down the last of the cupcakes left over from story time (4) and those were spread from the kitchen to the living room. Luckily there weren't any eggs on the carpet. When I walked into the kitchen, Adon looked over his shoulder and said in a "by the way Mom" way, "Oh, Mom, Collin made a mess." Thanks Adon for that news flash. Hey my kitchen, living room, couch, and computer station needed super cleaned any way.

Ready For Church

I love taking pictures of my boys when they are ready for church. Adon is wearing a suit he got from cousin TJ. I'm surprised it fits him, but I can't remember how old TJ was when he wore it. Adon is getting so tall and its hard to keep him in shoes. He is wearing Daddy's bolo tie. I had a picture of Collin all dressed up with Great-great Grandpa Jame's bolo tie, but it has mysteriously disappeared. I blame two little boys that like to play with Mommy's camera.

The Three Musketeers

We went to Vernal during our anniversary to visit family. It is so much fun to be with cousins. Drake, Adon, and Collin were inseparable. Drake is six months younger than Adon so together they make the three musketeers of the weekend. They played so cute together. The boys were heartbroken when it was time to leave. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for letting us come and visit!
