Stories about Adon

I have three stories to tell on my little Adon.

1. Throwing Body Parts

A few weeks ago (during church) Aaron introduced Adon to the game of "I've got your nose" You know where you pretend to grab another person's nose off their face and then you have your thumb between your fingers to show them that you "actually" have their nose. Then you stick the pretend nose on your own face. Well during church Adon is steeling Aaron's nose and Aaron is steeling Adon's nose. Then it starts getting out of hand and Adon steels Aaron's belly button. So (in church) various body parts are being stolen. Then Adon stole Aaron's nose (again) and THREW IT over the pew in front of us. Aaron was dumbfounded! Never in the history of "I got your nose" has anyone ever just chucked the most sought after nose!!! Somehow he must have gotten it back and was wearing it while he told me this story after I got home from work. So basically the two of them were throwing body parts in church.

2. King of the Ball

Last Sunday evening (I was at work) and the boys were home playing. Aaron was sitting on the couch with his feet propped up on my exercise ball. Aaron's feet had the ball pretty stable and Adon climbed up and stood on the ball and jumped off onto the couch. "Don't do that" Aaron told Adon. Adon asked "Why" Aaron, "Its dangerous" So, not heeding his dad's advice, (since rocket launching off a huge ball is so much fun) Adon climbed back on the ball. Aaron moved his feet ever so slightly and Adon fell on his "keister" Of course, Adon has gotten wiser with age and new that he wouldn't be getting any sympathy from dad after just disobeying him but he couldn't help but sniffle a little because his pride was hurt. Aaron said "See what happened? I told you it was dangerous and you got hurt because you didn't listen." Adon, with a little whimper in his voice said, "but daddy I want dangerous!"

3. Story Time

Last night I was rocking Collin and Adon was in bed. The lights were out and they were just about to fall asleep. Usually I sing primary songs to them but Adon asked for a story. My mind went blank. I thought maybe I could be a good mommy and tell them a scripture story. I gave a reader's digest version of Nephi getting the brass plates. So I tell them the story and finish up, " God made it possible for Nephi to get the brass plates....yada yada yada... keep the commandments and obey your parents...the end." and Adon said. "Mom, that was a great story!" So today after Adon woke up from his afternoon nap he said "Dad, tell me a story" Aaron said what kind of story. Adon said, "Dad do old McDonald just like Mommy." Apparently, all he got out of my scripture story last night was something about old McDonald.

Happy Birthday Kadie-doodler-kins

Its Kadie's 23 birthday. According to her she is really old. It is true. She has never been this OLD! Happy Birthday cutie! Here she is in front of all her signs wearing the necklace and earrings I made her.
She wanted a topsy turvy polka-dot cake; with chocolate cake with fudge injected into it. This is what she got. She picked out the colors. This is my first topsy turvy cake. The next one will be better, any one what the next one? I wish I had a picture of the cake with all the candles on it. It was awesome!

Before and After....

Our poor car "Nellie" was looking like she needed a face lift.
So we gave her a paint job. Yes, same car. Now I just need to clean the inside of it. :P

More Camping Pictures

Adon loved the stream by the campsite. We had to keep an eye on the kiddos.
Kadie and Nate reminicing about Porto. Conner enjoying the stories.

It was sooo great to go camping. Ever since Adon realized that Lexie was coming up to visit he reminded me that when she came, "we going camping". Yes, Adon, when Lexie comes we will go camping.

The group that went camping. Kelsey had to go early to make it to work. Yes, the dogs came too. Hudson and Bama love camping. The boys did really well in their own tent. Adon woke up once because he had a "bugga" nose. But they had so much fun.

Our family by the beautiful stream up Logan Canyon.

Collin Gone Camping

We went up Logan Canyon to camp for the night. Collin was in his element. Dirt galore. Plus the cars were parked really close and he liked to run in and out of the space between. He thought he was being really sly, but it made me nervous because he would run through and hide and then slink off to adjacent caps or onto the road.
Collin pulling a silly face.

Chillaxin'

Chillaxin' with dad. Aaron came to join our party as soon as he got off work.

Chillaxin' with Kelsey's shades. We love you buddy.

A Evening At the Fair

Let us in! Let us in! We took the kids to the fair to ride some of the rides. They had a blast. Some of the pictures don't really prove that, but its hard to catch the smiles when they are speeding past.
One ride where they are all together. Three out of four faces is pretty good.

This is pretty close to a smile. They loved these bikes. Adon and Lexie chose to ride double on an orange on. Adon's favorite color.

Adon and Lexie on swings.

I captured this shot on my camera but I stole this picture from Marcy's blog because Conner and Dad are smiling. The boys are eating blue cotton candy. Pretty sticky. Ethan was just barely tall enough to sneak on some of the rides, but Collin was just a tad too short. He did get to ride the train which he loved. A fun filled evening at the county fair.

More Family Pics

I love this picture. I hope it comes out good or I'm going to try to edit this one myself. We got our family pictures taken at a local park. Here are a few that I caught on my camera.
Ryan and Ethan. Doing what they do best.

Nana and Ethan. Gorgeous Heather in the back ground. He was smiling moments before I took this picture.

" Lets switch sides so you can stand on the hill and look taller." Who said this quote?

Crowd control. Adon picked out his own shoes.

Bear Lake With Grandma Wheezer

One nice day we decided to go to Bear Lake. I haven't been in a long time and my boys have never been. Adon had fun catching frogs.
Nana has a friend named Louise and her nickname is Wheezer, hence the name Grandma Wheezer. Here is Lousie and Collin headed to the water.

We had so much fun hanging out with Nana, Alysse, Kadie, Grandma Wheezer and Scott (who are Alysse's parents) Sand, sun, water, and good friends.

Genie Pants

The picture is fuzzy but it rocks. These awesome pants that each of us are wearing are gifts that Kadie brought home for us. According to Kadie everyone in Portugal wears these bright "airy" pants; kind of like pajama pants here in the states.

Picking Up Kadie at the Airport

Its so hard to be little and patient. We all drove down to the airport to finally pick up our missionary. Nana made these cute little shirts for the grandkids. This picture isn't the greatest. On the front it says "I heart Kadie" with a picture of Kadie in the heart. On the back it says "I hope they call me on a mission. Very cute. Nana did a great job.
She's here! She's here! She's here! She's here! After getting stuck in Chicago our missionary is finally home.

Conner and his little sis. Its hard to know where to look when there are so many cameras.

The grandkids and Kadie. Gavin is holding the letter "D". Ethan wasn't too thrilled to be waiting so long.

What did our missionary do the first minute she got home. She laid down on the carpet and kissed it. Not so much that she was glad to be home but she missed carpet. Apparently there isn't much carpet in Portugal.
