Cowboy Up

Just some cute pictures of my boys playing around.

Collin's Surgery

Collin was born with a herniated belly button. The pediatrician said that if it didn't close up on its own Collin would need to get it surgically fixed. Last Wednesday Collin had surgery. This picture isn't the greatest because he is talking while I was taking his picture. His surgery was 6:30 am. We were home at 10am. He was his fun loving self by the evening and even better by the morning. It couldn't have gone better. We have been very blessed.

Oh So Yummy

Place a Rolo on a pretzel then a nut. These are pecans. Then melt either in the oven on low heat or microwave on wax paper.

Then stick in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes to turn solid again. Oh, so yummy.

Wand Making

The boys wanted to make wands. I guess listening to Harry Potter and other cartoons that involve magic, who wouldn't? All you need is a few wooden dowels, glitter paint, and a box. Paint the dowels as you wish and let them dry standing up in the box.

Abra-ca-doodle

Teach Them While They're Young

My boys love to help. They want to help. Yet, being young there are a few things they can't do. I believe its important to teach them while they are young. Sometimes you need to get creative.

Let them dust what they can reach. Some things may need to be redone but be encouraging. Don't forget to be patient. I'm giving this advice to myself because sometimes its hard. Yes, having little ones do house work may make the task take longer than if you did it yourself. But keep at it.

Adon used to clean the door knobs. But now its Collin's job. Adon has graduated to washing the light switches now that he can reach them.

Pet Projects

The pictures are a little out of order but here is a little project Aaron and I have been working on while the weather has been bad. Here is a little dresser the dark stain is the after photo.

Before. Sanded, stained, and new hardware.

Then we sanded and stained the mirror to match.

Trick-or-Treat Round 2

The boys and I went to visit G+G Egbert in the rehab center for trick-or-treating. Grandma had surgery and is recovering there. Grandpa is there to keep Grandma company. The boys loved showing off their costumes and getting loaded on sugar.

Then we went to Nana's house and treated a few of the houses in her neighborhood.

Adon @ Chloe's house. Happy Halloween.

Ryan's Birthday! Roll Tide!

Happy Birthday to my bro. Here are the boys, helping Uncle Ryan blow out his candles.
Auntie Heather and Collin counting candles.

The Cake!

Nana and Adon shoved the "mini" cupcakes in whole. What fun. Party Party Party

Carving Pumpkins

Ryan and Heather's Halloween Pumpkin.

Roll Tide!

Collin, Adon, and Chloe with their pumpkins.

This is how we do it. Dad helping Adon carve his pumpkin.

Collin is not afraid of goo. Way to go buddy.

Mommy's pumpkin...bleh!

Baby Shower Gift

So my awesome Visiting Teacher companion is about to have her first baby. She invited me to her shower and this is the present I made for her. Rolled up onesies and pajamas in the middle of fake flowers. She loved it. Its so easy to make. Just Google it.

Pumpkin Walk

A friendly "Grandma" Witch talked with Adon and Collin.

My favorite pumpkin display. It is a water fountain. It reminded me of Aaron, who couldn't come with us.

Pictures after. Thanks Nana for coming with us.

Getting Ready for Halloween

This was so easy and fun. Definitely doing it again next year.

Izzy, Me, Collin, Adon, and Nana at our ward's indoor trunk-or-treat party.

Hide and Seek for Collin

Collin's new favorite hiding spot.

A couple of Firsts.

These pictures are out of order but you get the point. So here is Adon's first written letter and Collin's first picture with faces on his people.

Adon wrote a letter to Lexi in response to one she wrote him. Its his first letter. We talked about spacing and such. He always has to underline his name... I guess it makes him feel important.

Daddy helped Collin trace his hand but he drew the "people" himself. He was so proud he wanted to put "lots of gold stars" on it. (fridge magnets)

Boys will be boys.

So I wanted a quiet time break and thought I was safe to sit at the computer for a minute or two to take a breath. The boys were sitting at the table just a few feet behind me coloring, a gift from Aunt Randy. Here is what Adon colored....

...and here is what Collin colored. Such different personalities. I blame all the face painting we have been doing.

Best Deal Ever

So with running and all I've been borrowing a treadmill. When the weather got warmer I ran outside and returned the treadmill. Well, the weather is cold again so what am I gonna do? One day, Aaron and I were browsing in a local sport's equipment shop. We love to look but everything is way out of our budget until we found this. A tread mill for 50$. Never been out of the box. Yippee! Here is a picture of the men in my life putting it together...okay I did help some.

We have a burn pile out back and here are the boys carrying half of the treadmill box to the pit. Such cuties.
