Happy Birthday Grandpa

Grandpa Egbert's birthday was on Tuesday so we made him his favorite birthday cake; raspberry nut! Yummy. Aaron got three packagaes of candles to put the right number on his cake. He mostly did this so that the boys could experience the infurno that it produced. Don't worry we notified the fire department before lighting the candles.
My dad had help from his grandsons in blowing out the candles. I figure that if you are getting that old, you NEED help from grandkids to blow out the candles. Collin was getting a little ahead of himself and tried to blow out candles before Dad and I had them all lit. It took so long that some of the candles were melted to stubbs before they were all lit. There were THAT many! LOL.

Adon wanted to help pick the candles out of the cake. So he helped Grandpa. Every one liked the cake and had fun with the candles.

Go Fly A Kite

A beautiful breezy day was taken advantage of once again.
Collin even was able to hang on to the kite and get it up.

Adon and his mean kite flying skills.

Jumping on the trampoline.

Playing At the Mall

Wind storms

The day after Collins birthday we had a series of wind and thunderstorms. This is what is left over of a little shed in our back yard. The trampoline was flipped over as well as a few trees damaged near by in Smithfield.

Temple Grounds

These beautiful tulips are found on the Logan Temple grounds.
One chilly morning, I wanted to take the boys up to go and see the flowers blooming on the temple grounds. Call it spring fever.

Adon by the new reflection pool in front of the temple.

Smelling the tulips.

The boys were very good sports considering it was very cold.

I'm not sure what these flowering trees are called but they are beautiful.

Buddies

Adon and Harley shaking hands. Harley used to be so scared of the boys. Adon thinks its cool that Harley will shake hands with him.

Happy Birthday Collin

Finally! What you all have been waiting for. Collin turned 2 April 26 and we threw him a little party. The next night we had some big wind storms and our internet has been down ever since. Grandma came over to start the party out right. Collin knows how to open the presants. Mom brought a picknick lunch and helped watch the boys while I finished Collin's birthday cake.
Later we had cake and icecream and invited any one who was available to come. Collin had just woken up from a nap by the the time family came over. We had lots of baloons and were able to eat outside on the back deck. As soon as Aaron got off his lunch break, he came over and we blew out candles and cut the cake. Collin blew out his candles but he also slobbered all over the cake in the process. Our neighbors came over to help us eat the cake. Thank you to all who came to help make Collin's birthday special.

We had a "ball"~! Collin loves balls, balloons, and fish. He got quite a few balls for his birthday. I realized that the past birthday cakes I have made for my boys were all green. So I let Collin pick out the color, in his own little way, and so here is a yellow cake!
