My Favorite Things At Temple Square
Adon (3) and the Christus. This angle was totally accidental. I love my camera!
The huge Christmas tree in the Joseph Smith Building. It is so tall that there isn't a tree topper or it would touch the giant chandelier right above it. I guess the chandelier is the tree topper.

The reflection pool. I don't remember ever having Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus ON the reflection pool but I loved it. Adon was curious about the lights floating on the water. Magic I say!
The lighted House of God. I love my camera. It was such a beautiful time to be on Temple Square.
This tree stands in the south/east gate at Temple Square. It is my favorite tree there. Last time I was here it wasn't even lit, so I was so excited to show Adon and Gracie my favorite tree. There are lights clear to the very top! This tree is a pine of some sorts and its twin (a deciduous tree) stands to the left of it in white lights. Symbolic you say? Probably.
Toy Story
We have been going through toys that the boys didn't play with much and Adon got into the bag and pulled out new treasures. He set his Mr. Potatoe Head and his "Mr. T-rex" on the table and had them talk and growl at each other. It really reminded me of Pixar's Toy Story. Here is little "Andy" with "Mr. Potatoe Head" and "Rex". He loves to play with his little toys. He likes to carry them around and have them talk to each other.
Didn't get enough turkey....
Apparently Aaron didn't get enough turkey this Thanks Giving so he decided that he wanted to make his own. He looked up a recipe off of the internet. He cleaned it and added spices. I cooked it. It was his first turkey he had ever made. It was very very good. There was rosemary and thyme and lots of butter. Oooo what a good chef I have for a husband. Way to go Sweetie!

Trimming the tree...
We got our little Christmas tree yesterday. It has long needles like a Ponderosa Pine but I'm not sure. It still has a few pine cones on it and Aaron and I both love it.
Here is our tree all decorated. We need to make a few more pop corn garlands but I wanted to post a picutre for Kadie to see. Merry Christmas!

Give Thanks
This picture is for Kadie. I know she likes details. Each of us were asked to do something for the dinner. I made stuffing, Ryan and Heather brought veggies, Marcy made a sweet potatoe pie that was heavenly, and we all helped Mom make the classic nut cups. There is a little poem about the things in the nut cup. I'm sure Kadie has memories making these in the past.
Ethan chowing down on Thanks Giving turkey with all the trimmings. Marcy, Lexie, and Grandma's hands are also in this picture.

Adon and Great Grandma Egbert. Love this picture.
My sweet husband and my sweet Mommy.
Here was our table. We weren't assigned tables but we just naturally sit in families. James and Alzina Sue were there with Clarissa, Ashley, and Nathan. Then Melissa and Alisha were there. Then there was Dan and Denise with Shane and his wife. Then Shannon and Phil and their two kids. Kelsey had to work Thanks Giving and Black Friday. But we saved her some pie.
Playing with Wiggle Scooters
We had Thanks Giving dinner at the church in Clifton and the kids loved these wiggle cars. Even the adults got into it.
Collin and Ethan loving the cars. Collin spilled his water on his pants and went pantless for most of the afternoon. Brrr...
The picture if fuzzy because Adon goes speedy fast on this wiggle car. Zoom... there he goes!

Daddy even tried it out. They don't go so fast on the carpet, but what a work out. LOL
Tate and Adon took turns pushing Uncle Ryan around and around. Here is Adon also gettin g a ride with Uncle Ryan. What pals!
Grandpa Egbert recently got this fire red Jazzy. The kids caught on real quick that riding with Grandpa was a ton of fun and he was more than willing to give rides.

Clowning around
Poor Little Guy
Aaron and Adon were getting finished with a movie and were both sitting on the couch next to each other. Since the movie was almost over, Adon's attention was on other things. He was looking at Aaron's neck. He said," Daddy, Owie?" Aaron said, " Do I have an owie?" Adon touched a mole on Aaron's neck. "Daddy, there, owie" Aaron said, "I guess I do" Adon said, "Daddy owie? Poor little guy." Totally freaking hilarious!

Go Fly a Kite
Yesterday was a beautiful day, perfect for flying kites. Aaron took these pictures. He's good at it. Adon's new thing is hugging my leg. Sweet boy. They were totally in awe at the kite.
Here is our little kite. Its a clown fish but doesn't look anything like "Nemo" but its our Nemo kite.

I gave the boys trims before this picture was taken but as you can see the wind made Collin's hair a little crazy. He loved to hold the string of the kite.
Silly Pictures
Sometimes its hard to get all your favorite pictures into one blog post so here are a few more. Adon is running toward me with his arms outstretched ready for a hug. The funny thing about this picutre is I went to the end of our road to get the mail. He started running with his arms stretched out as far as they could go and ran the whole length of the drive way. But by the time I got my camera out to take the picture he was like this. Too tired I guess.
Peek-a-boo!
Ah, half frozen mud, rocks, and freezing water. What more could a boy want?
He was soooo mudy that I stripped his bottoms and shoes off before we got back in the house. I just had to take this picutre.

Adon loves to make tents out of chairs and blankets. I was out doing MK and when I came home Aaron was studying on the couch and Adon had crawled under the computer chair, pretending it was a tent. Aaron said that he just fell asleep there. He slep there for a couple of hours under his little shelter.
How Cute
Earlier this summer my neighbor took this picture of Adon and Carmel. This is our neighbor's cat who is the really good mouser. He is a very frendly cat that loves the outdoors. My boys love Carmel too. They get all excited when they see him. Adon is not really asleep on Carmel in this picutre but he was cuddled up next to him. Thanks for the picture Josie.

Happy Halloween
An almost full moon!
We stopped at Auntie Moriann's and Uncle Justins to wish them a Happy Halloween. Of course they showered us with sweets and soda. What saints! Aaron was secretly craving a Mt. Dew and they had one just for him in the fridge. We watched a bit of the movie Corpse Bride (wich is pretty cute) and we were off.
Here we are getting ready to go trick or treating. This is a great picture. The kids were pretty sick of posing by now (after how many days) Being a pirate wasn't as cool as it was last week. But they were awesome pirates. Thier little trick or treat bags were a last minute thing and they worked out great!
